"Whatever your needs may be, I am here to offer support. Therapy is a process of growth and self-discovery that can often feel daunting to begin and my goal is to make it as comfortable as possible. I have always enjoyed the art of deep listening. I understood from a young age that opportunities to connect with others in these meaningful ways are a true gift are some of life's luxuries. People often gravitate towards relationships that feel safe and I've had the pleasure of being that somebody in clinic, school, and hospital settings."
Dr. Rose Bueno is a licensed clinical psychologist with a Psy.D from California Institute of Integral Studies. She specializes in insomnia treatment using CBT-I.
Her approach is eclectic, which means she draws from a variety of methods to create a plan that’s tailored to each person unique needs. For example, if you’re struggling with negative thoughts or self-doubt, she might use CBT to help you challenge and reframe those patterns. If relationships or past experiences are affecting how you see yourself, relational therapy can help your explore those connections and build healthier dynamics. For intense emotions or difficulty setting boundaries, she will use DBT and offer practical skills to help you feel more grounded and in control. And if you’re looking to reconnect with your strengths, values, or sense of purpose, humanistic therapy can guide you toward greater self-discovery and growth. The goal is to create a flexible, personalized approach that helps you feel supported, empowered, and equipped to navigate life’s challenges.
Here's a blurb from Dr. Bueno:
"In our first session, my goal is to make you feel comfortable and heard. We’ll talk about what’s been going on in your life, what’s feeling hard right now, and what you’re hoping to get out of therapy. You can share as much or as little as you want. I’ll ask some questions to better understand your situation, and we’ll start figuring out how to work together to help you feel supported. By the end, we’ll have a plan to move forward, and you’ll leave with a clearer sense of what to expect next."
